Obituary of Gloria Agresta Novak
Mrs. Gloria Agresta Novak, 75, of Union Street in Broadalbin, NY passed away on July 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the Capstone Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born on January 6, 1944 in Amsterdam to Dominick and Rosemary (Nasuto) Agresta. She was a graduate of the Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Gloria was employed as a Senior Account Clerk for the New York State Department of Parks and Recreation in Albany for 30 years, until retiring in 1997. During her career with New York State, she did calligraphy for the Governor, and was a member of the CSEA. On January 7, 2000 Gloria married Stanley F. Novak, who passed away on March 7, 2017.
Gloria Enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Gloria is predeceased by her nephew, William “Billy” Agresta, who passed away in 2012.
Gloria’s survivors include her brother, William P. (Janet) Agresta of Amsterdam; her niece, Kimberly L. (Arthur) Banewicz of Amsterdam; two great nieces, Samantha (Matt) Staskowski and Elizabeth Banewicz; two great nephews, Daniel and Arthur W. Banewicz; one great great niece, Savannah Staskowski, and a great great nephew Charlie Staskowski. She is also survived by her God daughter, Annamarie Neri.
It was Gloria’s request that there be no funeral services, a private interment will take place at Saint Michael’s Cemetery in Amsterdam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Special Olympics, Attn: Web Gifts, 1133 19th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036-3604.
