Obituary of Francis John Bazan

     Francis John Bazan, 69, of Amsterdam, passed away Sunday June 16, 2019 at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam. 

     Born on August 29, 1949 a son of the late Alfred John Bazan and Elizabeth Catherine Zerbst.  He was a lifelong Amsterdam resident and was a 1967 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School.

   Francis was a client with Liberty  ARC in Amsterdam for most of his life.  He worked at Liberty and enjoyed fishing, reading and watching TV.  He also was an avid coin collector and was very generous to others.

   He was of the Roman Catholic Faith.

     He is survived by his brother and sisters,   Joseph Dopp of  Saratoga, NY,  Phyllis Flesh of Hagaman, NY, Patricia (Joseph)  Mullarkey of Amsterdam and Linda Trainor of Wells, NY.   Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. 

  Beside his parents he was also predeceased by a sister Janet Cross.  

     Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, NY with Father O. Robert DeMartinis presiding.  There are no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice c/o the funeral home.
