Obituary of Vincent T. Cummings

         Vincent T. Cummings,  67.  of Perth, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 27, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam.

     Born in Schenectady, NY  on October 23, 1951 a son of the late John and Julia Mary Ziman Cummings.  He attended Mont Pleasant High School and later was  a graduate of Schenectady County Community College. 

    Vincent worked for the General Electric Company and went on to have a career as an inspector and Experimental Machinist for Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory and later the Bechtel Marine Corporation in  Niskayuna, NY.   He was a graduate of the GE Apprenticeship Program.

      He enjoyed working with therapy dogs.  Vincent was a member of  TDI.  He handled therapy dog “Buccaneer” for many years.     He also enjoyed model railroading.   

     Vincent married BettyAnn Gooley on May 3, 1980.  In addition to his wife he is survived by a brother, Carl (Janice) Cummings of Wichita Falls, Texas.  Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.   He also leaves behind his dear friends , Linda and Peter DeMasi of Amsterdam.   He will be dearly missed by “Buccaneer, “Peaches N Cream” and all of his four legged family.  

     He was predeceased by his parents Julia and John Cummings and a brother, David Cummings.
