Obituary of Frank T. Minisci
Mr. Frank T. Minisci, 93, passed away on Thursday, May 23rd 2019 at Emerson Hospital in Concord MA, with his loving family by his side.
Frank was born on July 1, 1925 to the late Damiano and Frances Minisci in Schuylerville, NY. Frank relocated to Amsterdam as a child with his parents and two sisters; he attended local schools graduating from Wilbur H. Lynch High School in the class of 1943 and went on to serve his country faithfully from 1943 to 1946 in the United States Navy. Following his service Frank became a draftsman and later worked for Syracuse Supply Company, working as a Sales Representative until his retirement in 1988 at which time he relocated to Cobleskill, NY.
His true measure of success was his devotion to his family as husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Frank was united in marriage to Rachel Bursese on January 13, 1952; they remained lovingly married until her passing on July 26, 2015.
Frank is survived by his son Frank (Jean) Minisci Jr of Seneca Falls, daughters Marie (Stewart) Cohen of MA, and Nancy (Gary) Collins of Cobleskill, sister Kathleen (Dominick) Bottisti, both of Amsterdam. Frank is also survived by seven grandchildren; Melissa (Joe), Frank III (Sarah), Amanda (Rick), Alison (Larry), Betsy (Geoff), Peter (Ginger), Jennifer (Taylor), and great grandchildren Isabella and Olivia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Damiano and Frances, his wife of 63 years, Rachel, as well as his sister and brother-in-law Carmela and James Hannan, his brother-in-law Dominick Bottisti, and two sons-in-law Stewart Cohen and Gary Collins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, May 29th 2019 at 11:15a.m.at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church 39 St. John St, Amsterdam, NY 12010 with the Rev. Pascal “Pat” Iannotti officiating. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday May 29th, 2019 from 10a.m. to 11a.m. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Amsterdam following services.
