Obituary of Lina Mae DeLilli
Mrs. Lina DeLilli was entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2019 with her loving children by her side. Born in Mayfield, New York on September 8, 1925, the daughter of the late Owen Knapp and Madeline Fevola Knapp. Lina graduated from Gloversville High School and was a former resident of Gloversville. She was married for 55 years until his passing to the love of her life, Dominick (Basil) DeLilli at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on June 15, 1947.
Lina was employed in the glove manufacturing industry. She worked for many years at Mario Papa & Sons until her retirement. Even though it was tedious work, she and her coworkers always managed to have good times. Lina enjoyed golf well into her 80s and planned many outings with her league "The Foxy Ladies". Lina’s motto was, “I’m always dressed and ready to go.” She remained active and independent enjoying time with her family and friends until her passing. Her beautiful smile will be missed.
She is survived by her children Michaelyn Pasquarelli (Sylvester “Joe”) of Albany, NY; Kim Kissinger of Saratoga Springs, NY and Peter (Laura) of South Lake Tahoe, CA; three grandchildren Nicholas George (Christine Ferguson) of Delmar, NY, Stephen Kissinger (Kathleen) of Albany NY; Katherine Kissinger of Atlanta, GA and one great grandchild Grayson George. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Lina is predeceased by her husband, her sisters Rose Kobuskie and Betty Knapp.
Calling hours will take place Saturday April 27th, 2019 from 10 – 11 am, at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville, NY 12078, where a prayer service will take place immediately following at 11 am with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak presiding
Interment will take place directly following services at the funeral home at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Rt. 29 Johnstown, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or the Wesley Foundation ℅ Embury Apartments, 133 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
