Obituary of George Kazala
George J. “Pudgie” Kazala, 78, of Amsterdam passed away Sunday morning April 14, 2019 at his Liberty ARC home.
George was born on January 13, 1941 in Amsterdam, NY and was a lifelong resident. With his disabilities he was employed at many places through Lexington and Liberty.
George was a big sports fan and loved WWE wrestling and John Cena, also the New York Yankees and NASCAR especially Jeff Gordon. He was an avid video gamer and loved watching movies.
George was pre-deceased by his parents Martin and Florence, as well as brother’s Larry and Richard. He is survived by brothers, Keith (Michele), Timmy (Nancy), and sister Lee Ann. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle and many cousins. He was also survived by his Liberty housemates and family staff as well as his Liberty family pet “Sadie”.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at 11:30AM at Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Main St., Amsterdam, with Father Jeffrey M. L’Arche M.S. as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson ,NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday prior to the funeral mass from 10:00 AM to 11:15AM in church.
