Obituary of David Allen Conrad
Mr. David Allen Conrad, 73, of Shady Lane Park died March 15, 2019 with his loving wife by his side.
He was born March 10, 1946 in Amsterdam, the son of Louis and Caroline Conrad. On August 21, 1965 David A. Conrad was united in marriage to Kay Shelp. David was a parishioner of Valley Alliance Church of Nelliston, as well as a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 1185 and the Johnstown Senior Center 50+ Club. David enjoyed watching the news, NASCAR, going to the Fonda Speedway, riding his bicycle and taking walks to enjoy nature. More than anything David loved spending time with his family, and he loved the Lord.
David is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Kay Conrad, son Robert (Debra) Conrad, and daughter Robin (Edward) Sargalis, siblings Timothy (Linda) Conrad, and Sandra Barney as well as granddaughter Kathryn Conrad, grandson Matthew Conrad, step grandchildren Christopher Miller, Nicole Miller, and great grandchildren James, Wayne, and Leyla, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Caroline Conrad, and brother-in-law John Barney.
A gathering to celebrate David’s life will be held on March 30th from 12p.m. to 3p.m. at the Valley Alliance Church, 85 Main St E, Palatine Bridge, NY 13428. Interment will take place in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery.
