Mr. Brickner was one of my very favorite teachers. I had him for 5th grade and remember him fondly, as well as his tie collection. He taught me to like math, one of the only few, and I went on to be a teacher. I have taught for 20 years and it is an honorary profession, one that Mr. Brickner made look easy. My condolences on your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.

Freddie was a member of the Cranes Hollow Kids. He is remembered as smart, kind, quiet mannered, witty and a jokester. Have many fond memories playing softball and swimming in the creek on upper Cranes Hollow Road. Freddie was a wonderful teacher, husband and father. The world was a better place with him in it and now heaven has gained an angel. Sorry for your loss Brickner Family.
