Obituary of Sonja L. Zemanek

Sonja L. "Sunny" Zemanek, age 78, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday,  February 25, 2019 at Albany Medical Center, Albany, She suffered from medical complications following a recent fall.

She was born June 17, 1940 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late George and Leona Adams Langlois. She worked at Johnstown Knitting Mill from 1966 until 1992.

Sunny is survived by her husband of 42 years, David J. Zemanek; two sisters,  Shirley Loucks of Broadalbin and Peggy Benedetti of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Phyllis Auty,  Sandra Langlois,  Barbara VanAuken,  Robert Langlois, George R. Langlois Jr. and William Langlois.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7p.m. Thursday, February 28 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville.

Interment will take place in the spring at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Johnstown.
