Obituary of Marjorie F. Callen

Mrs. Marjorie F. Callen,  age 91, of Gloversville, passed away Sunday morning, February 24, 2019 at her home in Gloversville with her family at her side.

She was born October 8, 1927 in Sidney Center, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Joanna Edwards Finch. She was a graduate of Sidney Central School and was later employed as a bank teller in Sidney, as a secretary for the New York  State Police BCI in Sidney, and also a secretary for the NYS Probation Dept. in Gloversville.

Marjorie is survived by three children, Jeffrey Callen (Carol) of San Francisco, Candace  Sleezer (Michael) and Peter Callen (Diana) all of Gloversville; four grandchildren, Derek Callen (Rita) of Summerville, SC, Kurtis Callen of VT and Kaitlyn and Drew Callen of Gloversville; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Callen;  her siblings, Fowler Finch,  Evelyn Cushman and Jeannette Hurlburt.

Private visitation will take place at the convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.

Interment will take place in the spring at Sidney Center Highland Cemetery, Sidney Center, NY.
