Marianne and family, please accept our sincere condolences on your loss. As with many other people who knew "Joey D", we have never heard a bad thing said about him. He was loved by all who where lucky enough to have met him. Our friendship goes way back since high school graduation . We used to chat about his main passion, photography, when he worked at Joe's Market. The world is a little darker now without him.

I worked at Price Chopper & I am now retired. We used to call him little Joe. What a wonderful man.
I used to bring him meals from our suppers . He was so appreciative & said he loved home cooking meals.

I remember Joe when he owned the deli and when he also worked at price chopper. Joe was the sweetest man to sit down and have a conversation with. “Joey D” that’s what so many people called you’, but I knew you as my brother in-law Joey, the guy that was always so wonderful to his mother, sister and me. Joey, I often teased you for only working only some of the time, while at “work” at Price Chopper/Market 32, as you were almost always.talking with somebody ever time I saw you there. however, you, your bosses and Even l knew better: you were their unofficial working greater. Yesterday we lost a member of our family, “Uncle” Joey D. I will always remember him taking pictures at all the family events. When I was younger he always had his camera with him. He loved going to air shows with my dad. He will be missed by our family. Favorite memory of Joey that just put a smile on my face. Family game night shortly after we go the Wii playing Bowling and tennis. Good times and laughter. He will always have a special place in our hearts and memories.

I feel like I've known Joey my whole life. I visited Joe's Market as a child with my parents and then as an adult with my own children. He served at least 3 generations of my family.
