Obituary of Juan C. Montalvo

Juan C. Montalvo, 57, of Amsterdam passed away January 17, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was born August 6, 1961 in Amsterdam, and is the son of Haydee Santiago – Montalvo of Amsterdam, and the late Carlos Juan Montalvo.

Juan is survived by his Fiancé Sonia M. Roman, one son Juan C. (Yashira) Montalvo Jr. of Amsterdam, one daughter Maria E. Montalvo of Amsterdam.   Three brothers Daniel Montalvo of Amsterdam, Edgar Montalvo of Amsterdam, Jose Sartin of Caroga Lake, Three sisters Hilda Montalvo of Amsterdam, Mildred Fernandez of Amsterdam, and Lizy Montalvo of Puerto Rico. Seven grandchildren Anastacia, Carlos, Breyana, Yalena, Yosue, Jaidin, and Laylanie. Besides his father, Juan is also predeceased by a brother Rafael Montalvo.

During his lifetime he worked many years for the Golub Corporation in Schenectady.   He was a great father, and loved people. He also raised four other children.

Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Thursday January 24, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM where a 1 PM Service with follow here at the funeral home. A burial will follow in the family plot of the St. Michael’s Cemetery.
