Obituary of Bianca Doesburg

Mrs. Bianca “Bea” Neri Doesburg, 104, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 31, 2018.  Born in Poultney, VT on January 12, 1914 she was the last living daughter of the late Bruno and Mary Messiano Neri.

Bea was educated in Amsterdam and a long time area resident.  She was employed by Mohasco Industries for over 30 years.  She was also employed by FMCC as a cook until her retirement in 1976. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford J. Doesburg; a step son Robert Doesburg ; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Bea was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Amsterdam and the Northway Social Club.  She also enjoyed cooking and baking.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her two sons, John (Lynn) Doesburg of North Port, Florida and Douglas Doesburg of Ballston Spa, NY; one step daughter, Shirley Milano of the Town of Broadalbin, NY; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 5p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam.  Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service beginning at 3p.m. Private burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery.
