Obituary of Anthony Joseph Edwards

Mr. Anthony “Tony” Joseph Edwards, age 48, of Gloversville, passed away after a brief illness Friday December 28, 2018 at Albany Medical Center.

He was born July 29, 1970 in Gloversville, the son of Nancy Javarone. He was employed as a light equipment operator by the Gloversville Department of Public Works. Anthony was a devoted father, son, brother, fiancé’ and friend. Anthony was an avid fan of the band Metallica and of the Dallas Cowboys football team. He earned his Brown Belt in Karate, played football for the Colonials, coached Little Huskie Football and was a member of the one and only undefeated season for the Gloversville Huskies High School Football team.

Anthony is survived by his two sons Terry and Ethan Edwards, his mother Nancy Javarone, his loving and devoted Fiancé Pamela J. Curtis and her two daughters Miranda and Brianna, a sister Gina DiTata (Angelo), a nephew Joshua Hamel, his aunt Sandra Javarone (Pam), and loyal companion Zander along with several extended family members.

Anthony was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Mario and Anna Javarone along with an uncle Mario A. Javarone.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, Saturday January 5, 2019 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville. A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00PM following the visitation.

Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville immediately following services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers the American Red Cross in Anthony’s name
