Obituary of Robert M. Dickson

     Robert M. Dickson, 71, of Spring Hill Florida, former resident of Amsterdam and Clifton Park, NY, died peacefully with family by his side on Friday December 7, 2018.

Born on October30, 1947, in Amsterdam, Robert was the son of Harold and Bernice Syrylo Dickson.

Robert was a lifelong resident of the area until moving to Spring Hill four years ago.  He was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. 

     He was first employed by the New York State Canal System, followed by General Electric Co. and Longview Fibrebox Company.    He was last employed by HESS Corporation prior to full retirement. 

     Robert is pre-deceased by his parents, Harold and Bernice, and a sibling Mary Ann.  Robert is survived by his life partner, Kathie Maiello of Spring Hill., his son, Michael Dickson of Glens Falls, two siblings, Richard (Joanne) Dickson of Amsterdam, and Carol Dickson of Guilderland.  He is also survived by two step-sons, Kalani Maiello of Poughkeepsie, and Kevin (Danielle) Maiello of Greenfield Center; seven step-grandchildren, one-step-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

     Robert enjoyed gardening in his retirement years and his favorite football team, New England Patriots. A Private family service will be held and burial arrangements will take place in the family plot.
