Obituary of Kathleen A. Sturgess

Kathleen "Kathy" Sturgess, age 66, of Gloversville, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

She was born November 8, 1952 in Amsterdam, NY the youngest child of six to Benjamin and Jennie (Tortorello) Sturgess.

Kathy will be remembered for many things including her love of Pepsi, Bingo, the Minions and most of all her friends and family (especially her two grandchildren).

She was predeceased by her parents, also her brothers Daniel, Robert, Benjamin "Bud" and Anthony.

Kathy is survived by her two sons, Michael Sturgess of Gloversville and Jason Costello (Lynda) of Freehold, NY; two grandchildren, Michael and Rhianna Costello of Freehold; her sister, Janet WIllet (John) of Johnstown; her aunt, Amelia Smith (Thomas) of Dolgeville and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, December 17 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville,  where a Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 pm.
