Obituary of Nadine C. Boswell

          Mrs. Nadine C. Boswell, “Auntie”,  64, of Amsterdam, passed away on Monday November 26, 2018.

          Nadine was born in Amsterdam on March 3, 1954, a daughter of the late Howard and Shirley Voigt Conn.   She was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam and was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School.  She went on to receive her Associates Degree in Business Administration from FMCC. 

         Nadine enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.  She was considered a chef among her family and friends.   Her impressive collection of cookbooks was last counted at 413. She played bocce and was a member of the couples golf league at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course.  

         Nadine married Richard J. Boswell on September 8, 1973.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Mary Alice (Thomas) Hastings of Amsterdam and brother, William Conn of Amsterdam.   Nieces and nephews, Carrie Hughes, Katie Hastings, David(Sandy) Boswell, Sally Boswell, Meg(Michael) Villavicencio, Peter Casabonne, Michaela Koscher and Brendan Koscher.  Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Harry (Betty) Boswell, Carol(  Richard) Casabonne,  Janet Boswell and Christine Boswell Koscher.

         Funeral services will be held on Monday  December 3, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Father Jeffrey M. L’Arche presiding.   Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday prior to the funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Amsterdam Free Public Library or to the Montgomery County SPCA.
