To "Tom's" family,
Please accept my sincerest condolences upon this sad time in your family. Tom was a fine gentleman and I was always pleased to see him and share conversation. For many years we got to know one another through our service to St. Michael's Church. Those were good years! During the time that my mom lived at Hillcrest Spring we also saw one another, and my best remembered recent visit was when he along with other veteran residents of Hillcrest came to visit the Town of Florida Veterans Memorial Park during which I gave them a tour. I finally felt as though I was able to properly thank Tom for his quiet, steadfast service to our Nation. We owe men like Tom so much. Yet he like the others expected little in return for what they had done. Like the others of his generation he came home and quietly went about the business of getting back to work, raising families, and continuing to make ours a strong society. Thank you again Tom! My prayers for Tom's family will keep him in my mind always.
