If it wasn’t for Jeremy I wouldn’t be here today :( he’s helped me a lot through my mental health. Whenever the cops were called on me and I had to go to crisis there were two troopers which were my fav him and another one cuz he was amazingly nice to me And always cheered me up. And made going there so much easier I just hope he knows I really appreciated him. Thanks for making me part of who I am today :)

The whole family met him in Coxasckie and he was a very nice man. Even after he left Coxasckie he and Scott saw each other in the line of duty and Scott always commented he was a polite dedicated office and a really nice man.

To Trooper VanNostrand's family & friends:
I didn't know this amazing gentleman personally, but as someone who lost one of their best friends to a car accident at a young age, shortly before Christmas, I know your pain. It's been over 20 years & it's still hard. I can tell you this though, it will get easier, it will never be "Ok", but it will get better, I promise you.
My heart, thoughts & prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time. It's never easy to lose a good human being, it's even harder when they are so young & spent their career putting on that uniform everyday to protect people they do & do not know. May he rest in peace.
