So sorry to hear about the passing of my Dear Friend Kathy. We were friends since we were seven years old. We would walk quite a distance just to spend a summer’s day together. I remember swinging on swings for hours. Doing what our Mothers told us not to, was our favorite past time! We doubled our wardrobes by sharing each other’s clothes. And yes, we double dated. . I was even the Maid of Honor in Kathy’s wedding. We journeyed down many roads and back again. Some of those roads led us to some dark places, but we always had each other’s backs. Then one day our journey led us to different paths along the way. Forty years had passed before Kathy and I had reunited. We spent hours reminiscing, Laughing and crying about the good old days. It was then, that Kathy and I realized that not even time could keep a deep friendship apart. So Kathy, journey to that end my dear friend to find your final resting place. Love you, Marybeth

What a beautiful woman and person your mom was. I am very sorry that you have suffered this loss. It is hard to know just what to say when a loved one dies. Be assured that our loving Creator is aware of your loss and pain. Through His son, Christ Jesus, he has arranged to bring back to life, "all those in the memorial tombs." (John 5:28,29) At that time, Rev. 21:3-5 says: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved mother, grandma and friend. May God's Word comfort you and your family. Sincerely, Meryl, jw.org - healingwordsforu@gmail.com

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Know that God is aware of the tears you are shedding. (Psalm 56:18) He will soon do what is said at Acts 24:15, which promises us of a resurrection of our loved ones. May that bring you hope. Take comfort in your good memories and allow your family and loving friends to help you through this difficult time.

Kathy was the youngest of a family of four girls, five years younger than myself. She was called the Baby by her sisters, Chatty Kathy by her Mom, Edna, and Pill by her grandfather, Adrian Smith. Her two other sisters, Mary Ann and Janice have passed to their reward, leaving just me left to share the memories of our sister. She has a cousin, Macia, who asked about her whenever I called. She will be remembered as the "sassy" one with a belly laugh that caused others to laugh when they heard it. Rebellious, kind-hearted, always doing things her way, and out-spoken, that was Kathy. She was an excellent cook, and always put her very soul into every meal. I loved watching her cook, chatting away the whole time. Our father, Leonard passed just three years ago, and I can still see him shaking his head and chuckling whenever we spoke of her together. A delight, a pistol, a loving mom, and devoted friend, that was my sister. I shall miss her greatly. Death is a doorway through which we all will walk one day, but, the love of family and friends is eternal. Rest well little sister. Love you, Arlene
