Bob was a great teacher who everyone respected. He made learning fun and interesting. Bob was loved by all family, faculty and students. And if you were talking too much he had deadly aim with an eraser !! My sympathies to his family and friends.

Mr. Holzer was the best science teacher I ever had. I wasn't a big fan of science but Mr. Holzer could make science fun and interesting. One time we did an experiment to determine our blood type. He was always ahead of his time and exposed us to a world of science exceeding those of other small town schools. Mr. Holzer was also my homeroom teacher. When he got angry he would holler and everyone would sit up and listen. He deserved and got respect from all of his students. He was like a gentle giant and leftg his mark with me- so much so that I went to nursing school.

Mr. Holzer was one of my favorite teachers in Sharon school. He was a good friend to my mom Madeline Roberts fellow teacher , too. Always appreciated his guidance through my school years.

I use to ride to work with Bob when I taught at Sharon Springs. He was a very good friend to me during my time there. He was always willing to help me and the students. I will also remember him with his white, short-sleeved shirts with the bow ties, his pipe, and sage advice. May He Rest In Peace. With Deep Sympathy and Condolences to his family.

I started my teaching career in the fall of 1973 in Sharon Springs. Bob was there teaching Chemistry and Physics. Great teacher! Very respected by all students and staff. I remember him wearing bow ties and smoking a pipe and I think always white, short sleeved shirts.

I was in your fathers home room for 4 years at SHARON. I also took Biology with him. I loved your Dad like a second father. I used to leave notes on his blackboard signed Munchie the Mouse. Beyond being my favorite teacher, he will always be one of my favorite people. He shared so much more than Science with me. He shared my life and I am so grateful for all the life lessons he gave me. Truly blessed to have had him in my life. Deepest condolences to you & your family.
