Really sorry to hear of Alan's passing. He goes back as a friend longer than anyone else I know: since we were 9 years old. He lived 3 houses down from me, and his Dad built our house. We used to play with plastic stock cars on his garage roof, raced bicycles, played baseball and football together. I gave him his silver tooth, (it was an accident), and I believe I was the one who first started calling him Charlie, since I was already into music, and loved that old Coasters song. We had a lot of good times, and I have a lot of great memories of those days together as friends. He was just an all around great guy. He is going to be severely missed by a whole lot of folks. Thanks for being my friend "Charlie Brown".

Alan "Charlie" Brown was one of the good guys back in our high school days. He was a fun guy with a good sense of humor and a better student than I was. I remember the days of playing basketball during "A" and "B" periods back in Canjo. I know it's a cliche' by now, old friend, but my thoughts and prayers are with your family.
You will be missed.
