Obituary of Merry April Ellis

Miss Merry "April" Ellis, 46, of Albany, passed away on October 22, 2018 at her home.  April was born on April 22, 1972 in Rochester, NY. She was a graduate of Gloversville High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from The SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse.  

April enjoyed watching movies and listening to music, and was very interested in politics. She was especially proud to be a Research Scientist for the NYS Department of Mental Health in Albany.

April’s is survived by her loving family, her mother Wanda E. Ellis of Gloversville, two uncles Thomas (Linda) Ellis, Eugene (Mary) Ellis, along several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

April was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Geneive Ellis.

Honoring April’s wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or Funeral Services.

A graveside service will take place in the spring of 2019, at the convenience of the family at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

Cremation took place at Parkview Cemetery Crematorium in Schenectady.

Memorial contributions may be made in April’s memory to a charity of your choice.
