Obituary of Robert T. Mancini
Robert Mancini, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully at the Pacifica Senior Living Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 20, 2018. Robert was born on November 21, 1938 to the late Richard and Ann (Zepperi) Mancini. He attended local schools and graduated from the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1956. He graduated from Bryant College in Providence, Rhode Island in 1958 and moved to New York City where he worked for several major corporations in the accounting field. In 1961 he was drafted into the US Army and served honorably and was discharged in 1963. Robert loved to play bridge and managed two bridge clubs in New York City prior to moving to Las Vegas.
Survivors include two brothers, John (Gloria) and Michael (Irene) both of Amsterdam, nephews, nieces, aunt, uncles, several cousins, and nieces. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Richard and sister-in-law, Rosemarie, and a niece Patricia.
A private cremation took place in Las Vegas, and a graveside service will take place on Thursday November 1, 2018 at 11 AM with Fr. Lawrence J. Decker at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY, in the family plot.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
