Obituary of Norma Iris Colon Cuadrado

Norma I. Colon Cuadrado, 65, of Amsterdam, NY has gone to her eternal rest on Saturday October 6th, 2018.

Born on April 01, 1953 in Farjardo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Carman Cuadrado and the late Juan Colon. Norma relocated to the area with her family in 1984. She took a job with Bojud Knitting Mills in Amsterdam where she spent many years employed. Norma enjoyed sewing, knitting, and loved cooking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a kind and loving person and has gone from this earth way too soon.

Norma is survived by her children, Gladys (Deneeka Smith) Sanchez Colon, Carlos (Keyshia) Cruz, and Roberto Adrian; her grandchildren, Desmin Sanchez, Devin Smith, Geeyana Smith, Carlos Cruz Jr., Xavier Cruz, Timothy Cruz, Evan Cruz, and Yeshley Adrian; her great grandchildren, Jadiel Negron Cruz and Yaxira Negron Cruz; and her brother Mike (Carol) Carmona. Norma is predeceased by her beloved father, her son Hector Manuel Sanchez Jr., and her sisters, Carmin Torres and Anita Carmona.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 at 11 am at Betz, Rossi, & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY 12010. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 – 11am prior to the service at the funeral home.
