I especially remember the trips to North Carolina when Peter and Aimee were toddlers. Virginia was an impeccable host. She introduced us to breakfasts of chipped beef over toast and homemade delicious dinners. Virginia always packed us lunch for the trip back to Atlanta. She was always interested in current events and kept a beautiful home. I have fond memories of our visits.

It's hard to believe, but Virginia entered my life as my stepmother over fifty years ago. I remember going to visit Virginia and my father in North Carolina and her being so kind to myself and my family.
I feel I got them started in the horse business by rescuing a Pinto horse which I brought from Atlanta to North Carolina. My father and Virginia adopted the horse, which they named Champ. Virginia was a good sport about the surprise horse and they provided Champ with a wonderful life. My father and Virginia graciously took care of my beloved Doberman Pinscher, Desiree, while I was in the Army. When we visited North Carolina, Virginia always made us delicious homemade meals (instead of going out to dinner) and celebrated holidays with us. She especially enjoyed holidays with surprises for all of us. I think she made my father's life easier and very happy, which I always appreciated. May she rest in peace.

I have very fond memories of visits to North Carolina and later, visits to the farm in New York.
I still have the opera glasses you gave me on my first visit to see NYC Ballet in Saratoga. I remember you singing and leading the choir at many church services and showing us how to play the organ at the farm. I remember you sang an excellent"Edelweiss."
You encouraged an interest in curiosity about the world, people and trying new experiences.

Viginia was a very important part of my life as a young man.
When I first met her and Bob at church she allowed me to join the choir at the age of 14 and that was when she opened up a whole new world of music to me. Virginia was a tough teacher but she taught me to always do my best and for that I am truly greatful. I will alway remember the long rehearsals that always challenged us to do our best and to have pride in what we accomplished.
Virginia’s love of music and her teaching will alway’s be a part of my life but I am happy that she is now reunited with Bob and is singing for the LORD
With my deepest condolences
