Obituary of Marshal F. Spagnola

Mr. Marshal Franklin Spagnola., 85,  passed away Saturday  July 21,2018  at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, NY

Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 8, 1933 a son of the late Vincent J. and Marianna Romano Spagnola.  He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Marshal was employed for many years as a machinist at the General Electric Company in Schenectady until his retirement in 1993.

Mr. Spagnola enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf.   He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.  He will be truly missed by all who were blessed by his presence in life.

He was married to Patricia J Farrell Spagnola for almost 60 years until her passing in 2014. Survivors include his daughter Laurie Waylett (Wes) of Gloversville and a son, Michael Spagnola of Amsterdam. She is also survived by grandchildren, Sara Meunier(Shaun) , Patricia Fox (Brian), Cameron Stephan(Will), Katie Waylett along with 9 great grandchildren.  Sisters in law Angela Spagnola and Philomena Farrell and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.  Marshal was predeceased by three brothers Louis,  Anthony,  and Vincent Spagnola, and a sister Antoinette Spagnola.  

Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Wednesday July 25, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM with a 11:30 AM service at the funeral home with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis officiating. And a burial will take place in the family plot of St. Michael’s Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers  contributions may be made in his memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave, Gloversville, NY 12010.
