Obituary of Fred D'Alessandro

     Fred  D'Alessandro , 71, of Nashville, Tenn., passed away peacefully after a brief illness on July 10, 2018 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, Tenn.
        He was born in Amsterdam, N.Y. on June 28, 1947, a son of the late Fred and Jean (DiCaprio) D'Alessandro.  Fred graduated from Galway Central School, class of 1965 and Northeastern University in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.  
Fred's career began at the facility expansion of the GE Research and Development Center in Niskayuna, NY.  and he spent the last 20 years as a project manager for  Turner Construction in Nashville, Tenn.  before retiring in 2014.  His career included several healthcare construction projects in the Nashville area and the construction of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Assembly Building in Charleston, S.C.
     Fred is survived by a brother, Dan D'Aleesandro and his wife Susan of West Stockbridge, Mass.; son Fred D'Aleesandro (Jenn Fritz) of Galway, NY; daughter Dena D'Alessandro of Myrtle Beach, S.C., aunts uncles,cousins and loved ones.
     A celebration of Fred's Life will be held on Saturday August 25, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY  with Father Lawrnece J. Decker presiding.  The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service on Saturday August 25, 2018 at the funeral home from 11:00AM to 12:00 Noon.    Contributions in Fred's memory may be made to Alive Hospice, Residence, 1710 Patterson St., Nashville, Tenn, or a charity of one's choice.
