Obituary of Rudolph Oscar Colditz

Rudolph O. Colditz age 97 of Bennington VT passed away on July 15, 2018. He was born January 29, 1921 in Germany, and is the son of the late Oscar K. and Anna M. (Hubner) Colditz.

He is survived by his daughter Elaine (Charles) Letourneau of Bennington VT, two grandchildren Jennifer (Ryan) Moore,  and Kristen Letourneau.

Besides his parents he is also predeceased by his loving wife Naomi who passed away March 2, 2001, and a son Vernon Colditz.

A graveside service will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY  on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 11:30 am, with The Rev. Dr. John A. Califano, Pastor of the St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.

During his lifetime he attended Amsterdam Schools, He worked for over 30 years at the Watervliet Arsenal, and he moved to Bennington VT in 1989 after retiring. He also served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II serving in North Africa and Italy.
