Obituary of Mary Josephine Santibianch

Mary Josephine Santibianchi, 91, of Glenville, N.Y., has gone to her eternal rest on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

Born on April 29th, 1927 in Amsterdam, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Theresa Melillo and Michael DiCaprio. Mary attended local schools and at one time was the owner of Michael Lee’s Restaurant which was formally located in Fonda, N.Y. She married the love of her life Frank Santibianchi on August 30th 1953. It was a strong union that lasted until his passing on April 26th, 2005. Mary loved to bake and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed doing crafts and enjoyed the time spent with her family and close friends. Mary was a very loving and social person. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Mary was blessed to have a strong family support. Lori, Richard, and Michael were able to work together to keep her at home until the end. A special thank you to her grandson Michael for all that he did to help take care of Mary.

Mary is survived by her daughter Loretta (Richard) Gross; her grandson Michael DiPasquale. Many more loving nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Mary is predeceased by beloved husband Frank; her parents, Michael and Theresa DiCaprio; and her brothers Ralph and Lee DiCaprio.

In keeping with Mary’s final wishes there will be no formal viewing or services. A Memorial gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
