He will be missed by his special family, Vincent and Ruth Rossi and their children. Vincent just recently passed away on June 1, 2018.
During his lifetime, David's proud work history consisted of working as a Groundsman for the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation in Fort Hunter, NY; a Technician for G-Tech for the New York State Lottery out of Schenectady, NY; Assistant Manager and Lead Mechanic at Kmart Corporation in Scotia New York; worked in the Shipping and Receiving Dept and Delivery for Napa Auto Parts in Amsterdam, NY; a mover for Clifton Park Schenectady Movers, of Schenectady, NY; and enjoyed a period of time during high school working for Price Chopper of Amsterdam, NY, including being their store Santa Claus. David was a hard-working, top-performing, highly respected, and extremely valued employee. He excelled in people skills and was a firm believer in customer satisfaction and was a skilled mechanic and craftsman. David's work ethic was not only confined to his job, it was how he also conducted his life as a family member, friend, and
neighbor. David greeted you with a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face and a ready funny joke. And probably a spicy word or two. He always made sure all of his neighbors driveways and sidewalks were plowed, lawns carefully mowed and various other helpful duties done, including checking on sick or elderly neighbors to see if they needed a hand or just a hug or a laugh. He gave selflessly of his time and helped everyone he knew, as well as numerous strangers in need with a wide range of home and car repairs.
David was an Amsterdam High School graduate and attended Extensive Automotive Training with K-Mart Corp Center in East Brunswick, NJ.
He was a member of The Irish American Club and of the Sons of the American Legion. He also liked the outdoors, camping, music, and was an avid NY Mets fan.
