Obituary of June Lena Flansburg

     June Lena Flansburg, 71, of Palatine Bridge, New York, passed away peacefully May 4, 2018, at her home.
June was born on September 11, 1946, to the late Kenneth and Mary Elizabeth Hinckley Gates in Blue Mountain, NY, where she was one of three daughters. She is survived by her sister, Joan Lair of Pennsylvania; and predeceased by her sister, Beverly James.
June worked for many year for the former Coleco Industries in Amsterdam. She also was employed by Dunkin Donuts in Gloversville, the former Jamesway Department Store in Gloversville, BP Gas, and Price Chopper. June was a home health aide for the Willing Helpers Home and other private home health related companies.
June met her husband, John A. Flansburg while she was working at Dunkin Donuts in Gloversville in 1975. June married John Flansburg on April 14, 1986. He passed away on March 5, 2008.
She is survived by two children: Her daughter, Mary (John) Congdon of Salisbury, NY; and son, Kenneth Denton of Mayfield, NY; four grandchildren, Melissa, Eric Congdon and Caitlyn, Christopher Denton; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Jaquay, Colin and Mason Congdon. Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive.
June enjoyed to experience life by traveling to many different places with family and friends. On the weekends June and John would love to go for long car rides and enjoy a picnic that she would pack. She also loved to frequently visit Blue Mountain to visit family and to enjoy its natural beauty.
