Obituary of Eva C. Tyrrell

Mrs. Eva C. Tyrrell, age 87, of Gloversville, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Fulton Center, Gloversville, following a lengthy illness. She had resided there for over six years. She was born November 18, 1928 in Fort Plain, one of 14 children to the late Oliver and Phoebe Scott Horning. She was employed as a knitter by Johnstown Knitting Mill for 39 years until her retirement. Eva is survived by two sons, Kevin J. Nellis (Donna) of St. Johnsville and Jeffrey A. Tyrrell (Patricia) of Gloversville; three step-children: Karen Tyrrell of Johnstown, David Tyrrell (Shelly) of Troy and Darla Tyrrell of Houston, TX; a brother, Daniel Horning (Donna) of Schenectady; 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William G. Tyrrell on January 13, 2014. She was also predeceased by a son, Dr. Gregory B. Nellis, a step-son, William Tyrrell, as well as twelve brothers and sisters. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 14th from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 6:00PM with the Rev. L. David Almleaf officiating. Cremation will follow at Parkview Cemetery Crematorium.
