Obituary of Jerome J. Lewis

Mr. Jerome J. Lewis, 41, of Fonda, NY died suddenly on April 13, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Amsterdam, NY he was the son of the late Kenneth and Amelia Kiskis Lewis Sr. A lifelong area resident, Jerome was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. He was employed by SMG Group as a Manger for the past 26 years at the Pattersonville Rest Area of the NYS Thruway. Jerome was a loving soul who had a zest for life. He enjoyed a good discussion on Politics and was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the Chicago Bears. He believed in the power of family, love and hard work. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his fiancé, Karen Marie Floyd; his sons, Nicholas Floyd and Henry Lewis; his six siblings, Lawrence (Bonnie) Lewis of Amsterdam, Valarie Mehan of Gloversville, Michael (Grace) Lewis of Gloversville, Laura Faboskay of Gloversville, Melissa (Russell) Faboskay of Middle Grove and Robbi Lewis of Gloversville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Lewis Jr. Funeral services for Jerome will commence on Tuesday, April 19th 2016 at 1:30p.m. at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 4 until 7p.m. at the funeral home.
