Obituary of Dorothy I. Webber

Dorothy I. Webber, 91, of Amsterdam died peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2016 following a long illness. Born in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kula Ryczek. For many years, Dorothy resided in Key West, Florida and worked as a Tour Guide for the Hemmingway Museum. She returned to Amsterdam to be closer to family following her retirement. She was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of St. Mary's Church. She was predeceased by her siblings, Eugene, Edward and Richard Ryczek; and a great granddaughter, Mary Rose Miseno. Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Miseno and her husband Nicholas; one sister, Janet Delli Veneri; three grandchildren, Nicholas A. Miseno and his wife Isabelle, Kimberly A. Miseno- Bowles and her husband James and Michael A. Miseno and his wife Christen; two great grandchildren, Kathleen Miseno- Bowles and Nicholas B. Miseno; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:15a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street Amsterdam, with the Rev. Jeffrey L'Arche, M.S. as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Webber's name may be made to the church.
