Obituary of Wayne D. Rubscha
Wayne D. Rubscha, 53, of Johnstown NY, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday October 12th, 2016.
Born on December 18th, 1962 in Schenectady NY, he was the son of the late Robert C. Rubscha and E. Marie Ratel. Wayne is a graduate of Mayfield High School Class of 1981 and fulfilled his lifetime career objective in the construction industry as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Foreman and Supervisor whereas he was most recently employed with Carver Companies located in Altamont, NY - there was no machinery that he could not maneuver and took pride in precision and expertise. Wayne exemplified what hardworking and dedication is all about. On February 20th, 2016 he married his best friend, Kelly Fonda, after spending 12 wonderful years by each other's side. Over the years Wayne was a member and active participant in various clubs such as Bleecker Fish & Game, Concordia, Eagles, Ful-Mont Snow Travelers, and OTHG.
Wayne was a one-of-a-kind man who thrived on ball-busting at every opportunity given to him. He loved riding his Harley, breaking snow on his snowmobile, and hunting. He loved the outdoors and hanging in the garage watching football (Cowboys) and NASCAR (Stewart). He was an avid animal lover, and leaves behind his Rotti - Romeo. His sense of humor and good nature created friends for him where ever he went and will be sincerely missed by all those who had the good fortune of calling him family or friend. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife Kelly Rubscha; his sister Rene Rubscha (Steve Coon) of Gloversville, NY; his sons Darryl Rubscha and Andrew Rubscha of Houston, TX; his daughter Mikayla Rubscha of Houston, TX; his step-daughter Alexis Zebrowski and granddaughter Anabelle Ovitt of Johnstown, NY; his niece Marrissa Rubscha and great niece Emelia Rubscha; an aunt, several cousins and countless friends also survive.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 11am - 1pm on Saturday October 15th, 2016 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 15 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078 followed by a Memorial Service.
