Obituary of Kevin B. Cowles

Amsterdam, NY-Mr. Kevin B. Cowles, age 56, a lifelong Amsterdam resident passed away on Sunday evening, October 16, 2016 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady after an extended illness. At the time of his passing he was in the presence of his loving family. He was born in Amsterdam on May 29, 1960, son of the late Richard and Jeannette (Harzewski) Cowles and husband Neil Falvey of Amsterdam and educated in Amsterdam schools. His last professional employment was with Hannaford, Amsterdam. Kevin loved playing guitar. He was an active member of the Lord of the Harvest Church, Amsterdam and loved the Lord with all his heart. He enjoyed reading the Bible and sharing the Gospel with others. Most of all, he enjoyed being in the presence of his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his beloved children; daughters, Kristen Twardzik and husband Tim of Tribes Hill, Angela Hill and husband Jesse of Galway, Jeanie-Marie Cowles of Glenville and son, Kevin N. Cowles of Amsterdam; brothers, Richard S. Cowles of Hagaman, Robert Cowles, and Steven Cowles; sisters, Nancy Rattazzi (Jerry) and Betsey McKoy, all of Amsterdam, New York; cherished grandchildren, Daisie and Triton Twardzik; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will be present at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. The funeral will commence at 10 am on Thursday, Oct. 20th from the chapel at BRBS, Amsterdam with Pastor Mike Arbige, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Johns Cemetery, Amsterdam where he will be laid to rest. Please consider memorial offerings in his name to Lord of the Harvest Church, 27 Teller St., Amsterdam.
