Obituary of Joseph A. Plumadore

Joseph A. Plumadore, 68, of Gloversville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare surrounded by his loving family. Born November 19, 1947 in Gloversville, he was the son of the late Richard Oliver and Mary Margaret Brocklehurst Plumadore. Joseph was a 1964 graduate of Gloversville High School. After high school Joseph took a job as an EMT with the Ambulance Service of Fulton County where he went on to serve his community for over 30 years retiring as a Crew Chief. He was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Gloversville. Survivors include his three daughters Amy Danta of Sandwich, MA, Jill Thaisz (Peter) of Broadalbin and Tara Plumadore of Mayfield; brothers Richard Plumadore (Deborah) and Edward Plumadore (Rosanne); sisters Donna Christman (Mike), Martha Dunham (Kenneth), Patricia Sweeney (Michael), Barbara Graham (Jim) and Deborah Smith (Rodger); sister-in-law Pippa Plumadore and grandchildren Anthony Yuret, Adriana Yuret, Ariana Yuret, Benjamin Thaisz, Connor Thaisz, Breanna Danta, Marissa Danta, Robert Danta, Nikolas Danta and Justin Danta. Joseph is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother John Plumadore. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5-7 P.M. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 5 10 A.M. at Church of the Holy Spirit, 149 S. Main Street, Gloversville with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Please assemble at church. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
