Obituary of LeVerne W. Brooks

Mr. LeVerne W. Brooks, age 72 of Gloversville NY, died Sunday, December 25, 2005 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home Gloversville, following a long illness. He was born May 27, 1933 in Broadalbin, NY, the son of the late Arthur and Bertha Bunn Brooks. He served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1957. He was employed as a mechanic at Glove Cities Chevrolet, Norvell Chevrolet; Coleco Industries, Lynch and Baird Service Station, and last worked at Spray Nine Corp. He loved to be outdoors, and enjoyed hunting. Mr. Brooks is survived by four children, Kristy L. Brooks of Gloversville, Brian L. Brooks companion Susan of Gloversville, Lori A. Sanges of Gloversville and Alan R. Brooks Susan of Ft. Edward, NY; three brothers, Roger A. Brooks, Robert Brooks and Howard Brooks of Gloversville; eight grandchildren, Sarah Brooks , Shannon Brooks, Katie Brooks, Alexander Brooks, Christopher Brooks, Zachary Brooks, Samantha Sanges and Nick Sanges; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Arlene Brooks Houghton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main St; Broadalbin. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady.
