Obituary of Frederic T Anderson

Mr. Frederic T. Anderson "Frog" 75 of Gloversville, died Monday at Nathan Littauer Hospital following a brief illness. Born August 7, 1930 in Holley N.Y., he was the son of the late Pierson and Marion Spicer Anderson Vail. He was a graduate of Medina High School and attended Morrisville College for two years. During his early years, Mr. Anderson was active in both football and basketball. An avid hunter all his life, he also was a member of the Bleecker Fish and Game Club, the National Rifle Association and the Gloversville American Legion Post. Fred Served in the Navy from 1952 to 1955. For 34 years he was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. as a lineman and a dispatcher, retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ruger Anderson of Gloversville, whom he married on October 9, 1954, one daughter; Susan Fraiser and her husband, Robert, of Gloversville, three sons; Scott Anderson of Gloversville, Craig Anderson and his wife, Connie, of Mayfield and Eric Anderson and his wife, Elizabeth, of Amsterdam. He also is survived by a brother; John Anderson and his wife, Maureen, of Medina, N.Y., a step-brother; Alfred Vail and his wife, Ruth, of denver Colorado, a step-sister; Virginia Jonda and her husband, Robert, of Denver, Colorado, eight grandchildren also survive. He was pre-deceased by his step-father, Clarence Vail, and a brother, Edward Anderson. A memorial service for fellowship and sharing will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday January 21, 2006 at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Cremation took place at Parkview Crematory, Schenectady. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mt.
