GEAN,
I KNEW HOWIE SINCE 1972, BOWLED WITH HIM FOR TEN YEARS. I CONSIDERED HIM TO BE A GOOD FRIEND. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT I CAN THINK OF IN REFERENCE TO MY FRIEND IS THAT, " NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE, EVER HAD A BAD THING TO SAY ABOUT HOWIE", NOT A BAD LEGACY. I WILL MISS HIM.

I AM DEEPLY SADDENED TO HEAR ABOUT THE PASSING OF HOWIE. AS YOU KNOW I HAVE PANCREATIC CANCER AND UNDERSTAND WHAT HOWIE EXPIRENCED. ALTHOUGH I NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET HIM, HE MUST HAVE BEEN A VERY COURAGEOUS MAN.
MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE STILL WITH HIM AS THEY ARE FOR YOU NOW. IF AT ANY TIME YOU FEEL THE NEED TO TALK, I AM HERE FOR YOU.
WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY,
T
