Obituary of William H. Frye
Mr. William H. Frye of Mayfield, our beloved father, grandfather and husband, has departed from us to the Promised Land on January 26, 2006 at 96 years of age.
Mr. Frye was born October 14, 1909 in Gloversville, NY, the son of the late Frederick and Florence Bennett Frye. He attended Park Street School and Estee Jr. High School. He married Reita Bombard on February 10, 1926, she died December 15, 1962. He later married Nina B. Vosburgh on August 22, 1963 who survives. They moved to Mayfield. William was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah´s Witnesses, Riceville.
Mr. Frye worked for Veghte Lumber Company in Johnstown, the American Locomotive Company in Schenectady, and retired from Dyoil and Dygas Company on Hill Street in Gloversville in 1974. William was a great friend to everyone who worked with him, knew him, or came in contact with him, socially or business-wise.
He is survived by his wife, Nina of Mayfield; son, Frederick E. Frye Dolores of Gloversville; three daughters, Muriel Turner Raymond of Poughkeepsie, Audrey Jones David of Barneveld, and Betty Jacobs John of Chicago, IL; 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Frye in 1962, and granddaughter, Susan Frye in 1994.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah´s Witnesses, Riceville. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078, or to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah´s Witnesses, 145 Riceville Rd; Gloversville, NY 12078.
