Obituary of Catherine H. Badillo
Catherine H. Badillo, 65, of Riverview Drive, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at her home after a long illness.
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late James Suttle and Amelia Sinatra. She was raised in Saratoga Springs until moving to Amsterdam in 1950. Catherine has been a resident of Rotterdam Junction for 30 years.
She was a homemaker.
Catherine loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was very caring and was always helping everyone.
She loved to cook, bake and enjoyed arts & crafts.
Catherine was a parishioner of Saint Margaret?s Roman Catholic Church in Rotterdam Junction and she was a former member of the Amsterdam Jaycee?s.
On May 26, 1963, she married Joseph Badillo.
Besides her dear husband, survivors include her loving family; two daughters, Deana Greth- Dedrick of Colonie, NY, and Marleen Badillo of Amsterdam; a brother, J. Rudy Suttle and his wife Kathy of Amsterdam; a step- brother, Ronnie Sinatra of Hagaman; two grandchildren, Jessica & Eric; three aunts, Helen Salatino, Ceil Abissi and Catherine Licardo; and one uncle Rudy Licardo; a niece, Christine Suttle and a nephew, Peter Suttle.
Catherine was predeceased by a brother, James Suttle Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at 8:45 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Margaret?s Church , Main Street, Rotterdam Junction, NY with the Rev. Dennis Murphy, as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Michael?s Cemetery in Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
