Obituary of Geraldine Bant
Mrs. Geraldine Bant, 80, of Gloversville, died Tuesday at Nathan Littauer Hospital
Mrs. Bant was born March 19, 1925 in Gloversville, daughter of the late Oscar and Alice Passino James. She was a graduate of Gloversville High School and employed as a client supervisor at Lexington Center for many years. She retired in 1983. In addition to her working career, Geraldine was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was married to Richard J. Bant who died in 1983.
Survivors include her children, Richard Bant of Gloversville, Deborah Intelisano of Northville and Dawn Atty of Gloversville. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bant is also survived by a sister-in-law, Helen James of Hagaman. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Anna Long and a brother, Oscar James.
A prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:15 am from the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street and at 10 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church with Reverend Paul Butler as celebrant. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Gloversville Police Benevolent Association, P.O. Box 313, Gloversville.
