Obituary of Frances M. Valovic

Mrs. Frances M. Valovic, 89, of Gloversville, died peacefully with her family by her side at Nathan Littauer Hospital on Friday, February 24, 2006. A lifelong Gloversville resident, she was born September 25, 1916, daughter of the late Orville and Genevieve Fayette Rowback. Frances loved family and her home. She was a devoted wife and a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Vandeline J. Valovic of Gloversville, whom she married May 30, 1937. She is also survived by her children, Judith Schelle of Johnstown, Paul Sally Valovic of Johnstown, and James Barbara Valovic of Gloversville, her sisters; Verna Roach and Ethel Decker both of Johnstown. Her grandchildren include; Mark Robin Schelle of Bloomingdale, NY, David Cathy Schelle of Crawford, Colorado, Elizabeth Schelle of Gloversville, John Monica Valovic of Newbury, NH, Amy Mark Feinour of Broadalbin, Christopher Colleen Valovic of Charlotte, NC, Shelly Daniel Fennessey of Caroga Lake, and Michael Nicole Valovic of Northville. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren. Frances was pre-deceased by a brother Robert Rowback. A prayer service will be held 9:15 am Monday at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville with a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
