I am Doris Smith Lockrow's granddaughter. Carolyn and my grandmother were very good friends throughout their lives. Doris passed on Christmas Day. As a Christmas present for her, I made her a large photo scrapbook of her life. There was a gorgeous photo of Doris, Carolyn and another friend, sitting on a log in the woods, in skirts, smoking cigarettes and drinking beer and laughing! They were either in their late teens or early 20's. I scanned it, enlarged it and had it on display at her services. If you'd like a copy, please let me know and I'd be happy to send it either electronically or e-mail. Carolyn also donated some fantastic Shriner clown costumes for me to use at the Colonial Little Theatre that my family still has in our costume collection. I'll always remember her as a lovely, warm woman who was so devoted to her church and a wonderful friend to my grandmother. She was a very special lady.
Sincerely,
Katie Corrie

The assurance of a spiritual life is
death not being an end---but a
transformation. May you find peace
in hope.
Lady Carolyn, wife of Ron, who was
mentor to "Patches" as he grew into
a clown of Cyprus Shriners, will be
missed as Ron was when he passed to
his heavenly home.
Perhaps Ron & Carolyn will be able
to mentor St. Peter, and get him
into clown make-up and costume.
