Obituary of Ronald J. McNeil

Mr. Ronald J. McNeil, 56, of Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, died unexpectedly Sunday at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born on February 1, 1950 in Amsterdam he was the son of Kenneth and Florence Cimmino McNeil. He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. Ronald was employed as a Machinist at White Mop Wringer Company in Fultonville until his retirement. He was a member of the U.S. Army for a time, serving in Vietnam and was also of the Catholic faith. Ronald liked hunting, and enjoyed his time with his friends at McDonald?s on Market Street. He was predeceased by his father and a brother, David McNeil. Survivors in addition to his mother; his companion, Barbara Deronda; her daughter Cheryl Wintle and her grand daughter Kayla Bush and her grandson Ryan Wintle; two brothers Gary F. McNeil of Amsterdam and Wayne T. McNeil and his wife Susan of Perth; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery.
