Obituary of Eddie Rodriguez

Mr. Eddie Rodriguez, 43 of Gloversville, died suddenly March 8, 2006. He was born in Manhattan, N.Y. on September 18, 1962, son of Filiberto and Aida Luz Ortiz Rodriguez . Mr. Rodriguez was educated in New York City schools and employed as a security guard for many years at the New York City Aquarium. He also served in the Army and Army Reserve. He located to Gloversville 2 years ago. Survivors include two sons, Curtis Filiberto Rodriguez of Brooklyn and Anthony Louis Rodriguez of Gloversville; his mother of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico; his father of Gibsonton, Florida; a twin brother, Edwin Rodriguez of Gloversville and another brother, Hector Luis Cardona, Jr. of New London, Connecticut. He is also survived by a sister, Maritza Virginia Cardona of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico; a grandson, Edrick Filiberto James Rodriguez, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandmother, Salvadora Mercano. There will be no calling hours or services. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Gloversville. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Wild Life Conservation Society of Brooklyn. Arrangements are by the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
