Obituary of Alberta L. Travis

Alberta Lobdell Travis of the Getman Memorial Home, Gloversville, passed away on March 16, 2006, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital. Alberta was born in Pleasantville, New York on August 12, 1920. She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School and attended business college before employment with McMillan Publishers in New York City. On May 6, 1944, Alberta married her husband of 61 years, Harrison Odell Travis, Jr. She is survived by her devoted husband, Harrison, her sister, Hazel White, her children, Barbara Pace and husband Thomas, Ann Aulisi and husband Richard, Nancy Travis and husband Ronald Olinsky, Win DelPizzo and husband Michael, Harrison O. Travis, III and wife Leasa, her son-in-law Michael Emma, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alberta was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Emma. There will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nathan Littauer Foundation, P.O. Box 586, Gloversville, NY 12078.
