Bev was my classmate in St. Johnsville High School. We graduated in 1945. Through the years, at five-year intervals, starting with our 25th graduation anniversary, we met at class reunions. At our 50th reunion in 1995 I remember Bev looked especially glamorous and beautiful. And, I thought even the most casual observer could see that Roger was her happy, affectionate, and proud husband! Last August,2005, four members of our H. S. class drove to Bev's home to have a mini 60th reunion. It was a delightful get together. We all remarked then that we were so glad we had that visit. And now, since Bev's death, we have repeated those words over and over again. It was the last time we saw Bev. At times like this when I try to find the right words to comfort you, Roger, and your children, I grope and search, and I feel a sorrow I cannot express. I can only say that I remember Beverly as a fine person, a very special human being. And, now that she is a Spiritual Being, I feel she must be an angel. To Brian, Linda, Julie and everyone in the Petoff families, I was sorry to hear about your mom. We spent a lot of time at your house during our high school years and I'll never forget how nice she was to all of us kids. She always welcomed us at any time of day or night. I feel truly blessed to have had a grandmother like gram.She had the best, funniest laugh I've ever heard, and she laughed at everything and I will never forget that. What I adored most about gram was that she had such a big heart and loved people, whether you were poor or rich, gram had a place for you in her heart. I will always admire her for that.
I will miss her eagerness to win the lotto because we always imagined together how great it would be, to be able to buy an enormous house with an inground swimming pool. I have so many great memories with gram and I am thankful for that. I will miss gram deeply and will always remember what a wonderful, giving, joyous person she was.

I feel honored to have know Mom Petoff. She was truly a remarkable woman. She welcomed me into her home as if I were her daughter. She was am amazing mother, wife and cook. To all the Petoff family,
I am so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Now our "two Bev's" are together again. It seems like forever ago that my mom would visit, my Dad would be doing some work at your house and us kids would go hang out in the vegetable stand...those were the good ole' days. All the memories you each have will sustain you in this very sad time.Take comfort in each other. I always admired her and will miss her laugh.I will be thinking of you all.

I love my Aunt Bej! not a typo

I'll miss cocktails with Bev and dinner at Saltsman's for Easter.
